Part 1: Terms of use

What this website is

Cert3 Comparisons is an information website. It compares training providers that deliver the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30125). We are not a training provider, and we do not enrol you in any course. Any enrolment, contract or payment is between you and the training provider you choose.

How we compare training providers

We want you to understand how this comparison works. In summary:

• We do not compare every training provider. We compare the training providers we have researched. A training provider that does not appear on this website has not been included in our comparison. That is not a comment on its quality.
• We use public information. We take information from the National Training Register, from government websites and from the public pages of training providers. We show when we checked it. Where we could not confirm a detail, we say Unknown.
• Information changes and may contain errors. Prices, conditions, start dates and funding programmes can change at any time, and we may not have seen a change yet. Please confirm every detail with the training provider and the relevant authority before you make a decision.
• Our opinions are our opinions. Where this website expresses a view, for example about what to ask a training provider, it is our opinion. It is not a statement of fact, and it is not advice.
• Commercial arrangements may apply. We may have commercial arrangements with some training providers. These arrangements may affect how a training provider is positioned or promoted on this website. They do not change the core facts we show about a training provider, such as the information in the comparison table.
• Costs are published prices, not quotes. We show the full course fee as a training provider publishes it. Your own fee may differ, and the training provider decides what its fee includes.
• Funding is decided by others. Information about free or subsidised study is general. The relevant government authority and the training provider decide whether you are eligible and whether a place is available.

Part 2: Privacy policy

What personal information we collect

We collect personal information that you give us when you complete a form on this website. The main form asks for your first name, mobile number, email address, state or territory, study mode and when you would like to start, and it has an optional question about your experience in childcare. A shorter form that lets you ask to be notified about in-person study asks for your first name, email address and state or territory. If you email us, we also receive your email address and what you tell us.

We may also collect technical information about how people use the website, such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, and the approximate location of the visitor. We may collect this through analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, when they are switched on. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features of a website may then work differently.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• respond to your questions and requests;
• help you find a training provider for the qualification, if you ask for help;
• understand how the website is used and improve it; and
• meet our legal obligations.

Who we may share it with

If you ask for help choosing a training provider, we may share your details with training providers that deliver the qualification, so that they can contact you about it. We may also share information with the organisations that help us run the website, such as services for hosting, form handling and analytics. Some of these organisations may store or process information outside Australia. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

If you submit a form, you may be contacted by email, by phone or by text message about the qualification. If you do not want to be contacted, please tell us using the details below, and tell any training provider that contacts you.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information that you send to us.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it. To do so, or to make a complaint about how we have handled your information, please contact us. We will consider your request or complaint and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
