About Cert3 Comparisons

Last updated:

Cert3 Comparisons is a website that compares the training providers that deliver the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. This page explains what the website is, how we gather and present information, and what to do if you spot something that needs correcting.

What Cert3 Comparisons is

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, code CHC30125, is a nationally recognised qualification. Many training providers deliver it, and their public pages describe the course in different ways. We bring the main details together in one table, so that you can see them side by side and build a shortlist. The home page shows the full comparison of training providers, and our page on online study options focuses on learners who want to study from home.

We compare training providers that deliver the qualification, which are registered training organisations. We do not compare childcare centres or other childcare services.

How we compare training providers

The table looks at six things: work placement, industry checks, role play partner, teacher access, fast track and cost. The home page explains each column in plain terms.

We follow a few rules:

  • We use public information only.
  • Where a training provider’s public pages do not say, the cell shows Unknown. We do not guess.
  • Every cell that is not Unknown is backed by a recorded source and shows the date we checked it.
  • For cost, we show the full course fee as the training provider publishes it. Where a training provider publishes both a pay-in-full price and a higher total for paying by instalments, we show the higher total. We never calculate a total ourselves.
  • The table shows the date it was last reviewed.

Where our information comes from

Details about the qualification come from the National Training Register at training.gov.au. Details about each training provider come from the pages that the training provider publishes about this course. Details about state and territory programmes and checks come from government websites, and our pages link to the official source so that you can read it yourself.

What we do not do

We compare the training providers we have researched, not every training provider in Australia. Where we share a view, it is our own opinion. We may have commercial arrangements with some training providers, which may affect how a training provider is positioned or promoted on this website but do not change the core facts we show. Our privacy policy and terms of use set this out in full.

We provide general information, not advice. We do not give legal, financial or regulatory advice, and we do not enrol learners in courses. The final details of any course come from the training provider, and the final details of any government programme come from the relevant authority. Prices, conditions and programmes can change, so please confirm them before you decide.

Questions and corrections
